We will be on the water for 4 to 6 hours, with the average trip lasting 5 hours. If we catch our legal limit of Striper quickly, we can continue to catch and release if fish are healthy. Hot temperatures or Striper swallowing hooks can kill fish when released. We do not want to release Striper to die. We keep our legal limits on Lake Texoma, but understanding the resource is valuable and needs protection and conservation.

Jerry Smith’s Striper Charter Trips on Lake Texoma provides the following:

A big, safe, and comfortable boat
All the gas
All rods, reels, lures, bait, and terminal tackle
Lifejackets and safety equipment

We are proud to fish clients that have boats and want to learn Lake Texoma. The best way to learn about any lake or river is to hire a professional. Once we reach our limit, it is back to Alberta Creek Marina.

I take my time cleaning Striper, being careful to remove the red meat, and making sure the fillets are bone-free. Heavy zip-lock freezer bags are loaded with fresh Striper fillets and ready for your fish fry! Clients love to catfish from our dock while I clean Striper and often hook a trophy Blue Catfish to cap off a perfect trip to Lake Texoma.
